Culture is What Happens When we Act

“We exist in societies. We create cultures. And these cultures may be different from each other, with different beliefs, but they’re who we are. There’s not something more “real” to discover about us if you take all that away. A human who doesn’t exist in a culture isn’t somehow more true.” [Misha Glouberman & Sheila Heti]

The sum total of the things we do creates the environment in which we live and work. When you have a small team in a fairly young organization, you have a greater degree of flexibility in acting and adapting or iterating.

Work with a more established organization and the pace at which you move grows slower. You trade consistency — in service, for example — for speed.
